DataFlex is a database programming language created by Data Access Worldwide in the 1980's.

On this wiki we have two main pages about DataFlex - this page mainly descring the Character Mode version (version v 3.2) and Visual DataFlex describing the later versions with functionality for Windows.

History

Dataflex started as a character based language, and eventually evolved into the Windows based Visual Language. The latest version of DataFlex is Visual DataFlex 12.1 and the latest character mode Dataflex is version 3.2. Visual DataFlex is a Windows only development environment, while character mode comes in both DOS and Unix flavours.

On this page we focus on the character mode based DataFlex version - e.g version 3.2
