Just a couple of presentations this time, starting with Peter Bragg's File handling in DataFlex. Donorflex has an application that has to process large numbers of text files and .csv files in particular. The application doesn’t have an API (yet!), so there is a lot of importing and exporting of files. Peter talks about their preparation for DataFlex 2021.20.0 and the changes they will implement to be ready for Unicode, such as, the introduction of byte order marks (BOMs) to indicate Unicode encoding of text files. for which you can see the [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtFZddCLr4A&t=936s video presentation on Youtube].
